Vaunix Technology announces the release of the new LPA-103V Lab Brick® Programmable Gain Amplifier, the latest addition to the LPA series designed to bring laboratory-grade gain control to engineering test benches, automated test systems, and production environments.
The LPA-103V operates from 0.5 to 10 GHz with a 30 dB gain control range and an impressive 0.1 dB step size, delivering calibrated, repeatable precision that engineers can count on whether working on signal conditioning, receiver testing, or automated RF characterization.
"The LPA-103V reflects everything we've built the Lab Brick brand around — affordability, reliability, and the kind of functionality that used to require much larger, more expensive equipment," said Dennis Flanders, Director of Sales and Marketing at Vaunix. "Whether it's on a bench in an R&D lab or integrated into an ATE rack, the LPA-103V gives engineers precise gain control without the complexity or the cost."
The LPA-103V connects via USB or Ethernet, offering engineers maximum flexibility in how they deploy and control the device. The USB interface uses a native HID connection, eliminating the need for kernel-level drivers and making the amplifier immediately usable on Windows, Linux, and low-cost embedded platforms. The Ethernet interface supports both Static IP and DHCP configurations, includes password protection for security, and enables Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) to simplify cabling in rack and remote installations. USB-PD and external DC supply options round out the power flexibility.
For programming, the LPA-103V supports fixed gain, swept gain ramps (unidirectional or bidirectional, one-time or repeating), and fully custom gain sequences. A Windows GUI and WebUI are included for immediate out-of-the-box use, while developers can take advantage of Windows API DLL files, Linux SDK, LabVIEW drivers, Python examples, and more to build custom automated workflows.
Key features of the LPA-103V include:
The LPA-103V is well-suited for engineering and production test labs, automated test equipment, and any application requiring precise, repeatable RF gain control across a wide frequency range. Contact us for more information or to discuss customization options.
