Specially designed for USB super users, such as video and audio techs, the 4-Port Lab Brick® USB Hub from Vaunix offers the highest power in the industry and delivers it to all ports simultaneously and continuously.
For USB super users, who count on being able to run or charge their many devices on the run, Vaunix Technology Corporation has introduced a high power, four-port USB hub. The self-powered, industrial quality USB hub features an oversized power supply capable of providing as much as 1 A current at +5 VDC to each of its four USB ports simultaneously. The hub also features a charge while sleep mode so that it continues delivering power in the absence of a host PC or if the host PC goes to sleep. The model LPH-204B USB hub delivers clean, highly regulated power to audio, video, RF, and microwave USB devices for on-the-go applications, production lines, test laboratories, and automatic-test-equipment (ATE) systems.
The LPH-204B USB hub supports low speed, full speed and high speed peripherals with data transfer rates to 480 Mb/s with superior Vbus regulation of +/- 2% typical over all specified load conditions. It provides digital voltmeter (DVM) probe access in order to monitor device load current on port 1, and offers over-current protection on all four ports. The Lab Brick USB hub, which operates from +12-VDC for compatibility with automotive power supplies, is designed for operating temperatures from -30°C to +55°C and exceeds USB 2.0 and 1.1 standards.
The LPH-204B Lab Brick USB Hub is housed in a robust, cast aluminum enclosure measuring 3.86 x 2.52 x 1.35 in. (98 x 64 x 34 mm) and weighing just 0.5 lb. (0.23 kg). The lightweight, durable housing equips the USB hub for the most rugged environments.
“You can run over this hub with a truck one minute and use it to operate four high power devices the next,” says Scott Blanchard, Vaunix’s President. “We simply engineered it to be the best hub on the market.”
Accessories include mounting provisions for installation into various locations, such as test benches, test racks, desks, and vehicles. A 12-V, 24-W AC/DC adapter and USB host cable are also provided.
